Great food and service. We were in town for a weekend getaway and looking for a nice meal without breaking the bank. Mikes definitely fit. Grilled flounder was wonderful with a Sauvignon Blanc. Ordered a small crawfish pie on the side and whoa!! Flaky and delish. My date had the seafood salad and remarked how much she enjoyed it. This is one of those small town places that you can enjoy a good meal.
Mike's in Jennings is a great local restaurant. We enjoy our "Saturday night date night".The food is good and the staff is wonderful. Often Mike's has "Glenn A Band Of One" he plays good music that you can enjoy while eating or even dance.
First time here! Gumbo and the service is FOR REAL the b at in Cajun Country! I closed the joint down, better atmosphere than the hotel. I definitely recommend eating here, the best by far!!!
I didn't understand the 3-1/2 stars until I noticed that they only have 28 reviews and the two bad ones were fro 2015 and 2019. It's too bad that those don't fall off because this place was very good. I had their seafood platter and my colleague had their crab cakes. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Give them a try, I think you'll be impressed.
It was a Saturday evening and we were a party of 6. The seating in the front was busy and we had to wait. It was worth the wait. The onion rings are a side choice you don't want to miss. They were fried perfectly. The hush puppies were some the best I've had in recent years. The Cajun Catfish wasn't disappointing at all. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. I'm not sure why the star rating wasn't higher?
We love Mike's. My husband and I go every Saturday for date night. This Saturday was very special Valentines eve. Mike had great little band. The food was extra special. I had the petite steak. Seasoned just right cooked to a perfect medium rare. A wonderful evening.
